Areas of work

What we work on

Four areas of work. Choose the one that fits the student. Any of them can sit inside any of the three routes below.

University and college admissions

Guidance through UK and US admissions, from choosing courses and universities to the final submitted application. Our advisers know what admissions tutors and committees look for, and they shape each application so it presents the student at full strength. That includes the admissions tests many courses set, the MAT, TMUA, STEP, LNAT, UCAT, ESAT and TARA among them, and the Oxbridge interviews held in December. Oxford and Cambridge are covered in full on our Oxbridge admissions page.

School and exam support

Subject tutoring for KS3, GCSE, MYP, A-Level and IB, across every major exam board. Sessions build on current ability and close the gaps, so the student reaches the exam with deeper knowledge and sharper technique.

Essay and academic writing

Direct teaching of a craft that is rarely taught well. Building an argument, controlling structure, holding tone. The next essay starts from a method instead of a blank page.

Enrichment beyond the syllabus

Work beyond the syllabus for students who want to think past the classroom. Demanding discussion, wider reading and harder problems build real intellectual range. It suits candidates targeting the most competitive universities, where original thought counts as much as marks. Start with the free material in Resources.

Want to go deeper first? Our insights cover admissions and enrichment in detail, and there are free study guides in resources.

Those four are what we work on. The three routes below are how you work with us, and any of the four can sit inside any of them.

Three routes

How you work with us

Three routes, ordered by how far the relationship goes. The right one usually becomes clear in the first conversation.

Short-term support

Right if there is one clear goal and a deadline within weeks.

Book a single session or a short bundle around something specific, such as a difficult topic or a particular exam paper. Expert input without a long commitment, on a tight timeframe.

Most chosen

Ongoing partnership

Right if one or more subjects need steady work across a term or longer.

It includes a study plan, short reflections after each session, and work between sessions that reinforces progress. The scope scales from a single subject to full multi-subject support across a term or a year, with the intensity set to the student.

The flagship service

Academic Stewardship

Right if you want continuous oversight rather than scheduled sessions.

Our most comprehensive form of guidance. A continuing, managed relationship that reaches well past scheduled sessions. The student works with a tutor or a small team who provide detailed feedback, strategic oversight and consultation whenever it is needed, while parents receive regular insight into progress. Aspire stays a step ahead of the student's ambitions as they grow.

The process

How a consultation with Aspire works

Thirty minutes on a call, and within 48 hours you have up to three written plans for reaching the student’s goals.

1
We listen

We meet to understand the student: their ambitions, what sits behind those goals, and the kind of learner they are.

2
We assess

We look at academic progress and current support, and map the strengths and the weaker areas across both schoolwork and wider interests.

3
We plan

Within 48 hours we send up to three plans, each with the likely services, pricing and timelines set out clearly, then introduce the team who will guide the student.
