Founder & Director
Dr Hamish Roberts
Hamish founded Aspire in 2025, after completing a PhD in History at the University of Oxford. He has spent more than seven years helping students win places at the world's most competitive universities.
His work sits where deep subject knowledge meets a close understanding of how admissions really works, in both the UK and the US. He built Aspire to give ambitious students, wherever they are in the world, the same standard of guidance he offers himself. Every tutor who joins is held to it.
He takes the progress of each student and family personally, and judges Aspire by a single measure: whether they reach the ambitions they arrived with.

The people who teach with Aspire
Tutors are the heart of Aspire, so we are exacting about who joins. Every tutor is interviewed in person and assessed on how they actually teach, not on a CV alone, against one benchmark: would we want them teaching our own family? Just one in twelve applicants is accepted as a tutor.
Educated at the best universities
Many of our tutors are Oxford and Cambridge graduates, with the rest drawn from the Russell Group and other leading universities, often to master's or doctoral level.
Interviewed and vetted
Every tutor is interviewed before they meet a student, with credentials verified and live teaching assessed. Paper qualifications are only the starting point.
